CIOs to Join Honasan for Yearend Look at Midterm ICT Milestones

29 November 2019 (Quezon City) – DICT Secretary Gregorio B. Honasan II will keynote on December 3 the year’s 4th General Membership Meeting and Conference of the Chief Information Officers Forum Inc. (CIOF) at Novotel Araneta Center, 8:00am-2:30pm. Theme of the event is “Digital Philippines: Mainstreaming eGovernment Master Plan 2022.”

 

Expected to attend are some 100 delegates composed of CIOF members, DICT officials, government ICT managers and executives, and members of the CIOF Foundation Inc.

Focus of discussions will bridge the government’s re-energized eGovernment Master Plan 2022 into the administration’s vision and roadmap for a Digitial Philippines.

The keynote message will be followed by interesting lectures from global speakers: “One-Connected Government” by Richard Amer, Industry Director for Public Sector of Unisys; “Smart Cities for Digital Philippines” by Andres Ortola, Country General Manager of Microsoft; “Digital Governance, Digital Economy, and Digital Society” by DICT Assistant Secretary for Digital Philippines Emmanuel Rey R. Caintic; “Industry Perspectives on eGMP 2022 and Digital Philippines” to be tackled jointly by Bon Moya, National Technology Officer of Microsoft, and another speaker from Unisys.

Further insights on EGMP 2022 will be offered through the following appreciation talks: “Architecting Digital Philippines” by Francis Uy, President and CEO of Sinag Solutions; “Secure CyberSpace for Filipinos” by Unisys; and “Payment System in the Digital Economy” by WhiteSky Labs.

The traditional Christmas CIOF and CIOF Foundation Fellowship will shortly follow the conference, where some 50 industry partners will be honored in thanksgiving for supporting throughout the year the CIOF/CIOFF Conferences and National ICT Summit.
